Scotland Yard ha dichiarato che l'uomo è stato identificato come "sospetto" a Westminster alle 23:25 locali di domenica sera. L’uomo dunque una volta fermato dagli agenti ha estratto due coltelli.
Gli ufficiali dunque hanno risposto con un arma da fuoco e un Taser. L'uomo è successivamente deceduto in ambulanza, ma l'incidente tuttavia non è considerato collegato al terrorismo.
Nessun cittadino o agente di polizia è rimasto ferito e ora sono in corso delle indagini, ha affermato Evening Standard.
Ci sono ancora numerosi blocchi stradali nell'area e cordoni di polizia.
